Kate Scott is a pastel painter who lives permanently in Corfu and loves to paint out in her beautiful natural surroundings.

Having graduated as a textile designer, travelled the world as a fashion buyer and had her own hand-painted ceramic and tile business, she was drawn to pastels for their immediacy and saturated colour.

Her goal is to capture the light and to this end, she has been absolutely inspired by the Spanish painter Sorolla who was known as “The Master of Sunlight”.

What to bring

Pleinair kit, (portable lightweight easel, box of various colour pastels, sketchpad of pastel paper or watercolour paper A4 size, and anything else you like taking for pleinair).

Stools and portable chairs will be provided.

There will be some walking involved please let us know if you have mobility issues.

What is included?

  • Six nights’ accommodation, five days’ tuition

  • All transfers to and from the airport and to painting venues and excursions

  • Breakfast and dinner with coffee, tea and soft drinks. Wine with dinner. Snack/picnic lunch

  • Greek evening with a meal and live entertainment

  • Meal at a local Taverna in Old Perithia the oldest village on the island

  • Wine tour and tasting with meze at Corfu’s oldest family-run wine estate
