Glorious, sublime! I came all the way from Tasmania Australia, for this April week painting with Corfu in Colour because an art holiday in Europe was my dream; it was Corfu, I liked everything I saw & read on the Corfu in Colour website & about the villa & because Lyn Diefenbach is a superlative artist & art tutor, much prized & loved in Australia & worldwide.
Well the whole thing exceeded my hopes & dreams. Kate was a delight to deal with throughout. The villa was gorgeous. I swam in the sparkling pool gazing out over olive trees to the Ionian Sea and Albania! Grapefruit blossom scented the air. Fireflies lit up the driveway at night.
Maria and Harris our lovely young chef couple, created scrumptious meals (lunches out were delicious too).We learned so much as artists; Lyn is most generous & to the point ( also relaxed & funny). We laughed lots & were inspired by the daily miracle of seeing her own plein air paintings emerge. WOW.
As for Kate …all praise to her. She seamlessly looked after all & made every day easy. The places she took us to every day; more magical, old villages high in the mountains, a forest glade, secret beaches , wildflower trails, her own favourite spots we would never have found otherwise. Bliss! And what a wonderful time of year in Corfu. Spring blossoming trees ,wildflowers ,clear warm air with hot afternoons, uncrowded. Friendly Corfiot people.

Kate was fabulous! Her attention to detail was superb.
Accommodations with a view of ocean and Albania were to die for. She had hired excellent chefs for breakfast and dinner was like being at a 5 star hotel.
Having taken a couple art workshops a year this was one of my favorites and Lyn Diefenbach was such a great teacher and artist. The tours were special not touristy at all but gave a flavor of Corfu and its culture and lovely people.
I would highly recommend! Kate is also very lovely, kind, knowledgeable, a great artist and very accommodating.

Corfu in Color was a fabulous retreat! Kate gave every detail of our stay on the island her meticulous and thoughtful attention. Our meals were locally sourced and prepared in house. The small group size allowed lively conversation around the dinner table and was the perfect ending to a day of painting and instruction.
Gail Sibley is just a fantastic instructor. She helped each of us identify our core goals - encouraging us to “be brave” - as we were challenged by unknown landscapes daily that were all jaw-dropping beautiful. The small group size allowed Gail to give each of us ample times of dialogue and guidance at our easels. Each carefully curated (by Kate) location provided many options of view point to choose from, along with a beautiful quiet to allow us to focus on our painting. Each spot chosen had its own beauty - but for me, the looking out at the beautiful waters of the Ionian Sea and the colors of the sun-drenched rocks were my favorite. Thank you, Kate
