Her paintings cover a myriad of subject matter, including portraits, seascapes, still life and florals, all of which consistently receive accolades and awards across the globe. A fascination for the world within worlds of reflections has been an ongoing theme, allowing her to express her own story emotionally, physically and spiritually. The pursuit of masterly quality and technique is a high priority for Lyn. Her work is imbued with a lifetime of practise and is a celebration of her faith and of life.

Lyn’s ability to communicate her ideas has entrenched her as a respected and sought-after tutor, with teaching engagements worldwide. She was able to adapt her teaching to utilise Zoom, successfully bringing the world into her studio.

Lyn was accepted into the International Guild of Realism in 2008, and holds Master Pastellist status with the Pastel Society of Australia. In 2019 Lyn was awarded Eminent Pastellist status - the highest award within the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS). She had already achieved Master Circle status with that group in 2014. Lyn was accepted into the Pastel Society of America as a Signature Member in 2016.

She has been featured numerous times in the International Artist, Pastel Journal, Pastel World, Australian Artist and Pratique des Artes (France) magazines as well as in the television series Colour In Your Life.

Her reputation on the international stage saw her invited to demonstrate at the 100 Years of Pastelling in China celebrations - one of only 6 international guest artists to be so honoured. An ever-increasing number of invitations to judge, demonstrate and be a guest speaker is testament to her skills and reputation.

Pastel Heaven in Corfu

Have you ever dreamt of painting in the Greek islands? Then dream no more, we're off to Corfu! It's one of my favourite islands and it offers a plethora of subject matter for the artist. Crystal clear waters, stunning forest retreats, buildings that speak of a bygone era and vibrant streetscapes and community. We’re spoilt for choice.

Our painting time will be split between the studio and en plein air. The studio time will give opportunity for me to give pointers on composition, on perspective when it comes to buildings, how to include figures in your landscape if you want to, how to use your plein air paintings for perhaps a larger work. We can also investigate portraits, what to look for when painting a boat and whatever other subject you might be interested in. I thrive on variety!

There will also be time for journaling. This is a wonderful way of putting down your thoughts and emotions both in paint and word. You can use any media that you like – watercolour, ink, watercolour crayons, posca pens … the list is endless! I'll provide a video before our adventure to stimulate your thinking. It's a very meditative and contemplative thing to do - and you go home with a book full of memories! My journals are among some of my greatest treasures.

Come ready to immerse yourself in the joy of painting and of unique experiences, all shared with like-minded people.

You will return home with a bucketload of memories and friends for life!
